Colin Firth

Colin Firth is an English actor known for film, television, and stage work across period drama, romantic comedy, literary adaptation, and contemporary drama. Born on September 10, 1960, in Grayshott, Hampshire, England, he trained as an actor and began attracting attention in British theatre and television before moving into international film roles.

Firth became widely known to British television audiences for playing Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, a performance that helped establish him as a leading actor in period drama.
