Tony Hale

Tony Hale is an American actor and comedian best known for character roles in television comedy and voice acting. Born on September 30, 1970, in West Point, New York, and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, he studied acting before working in theatre, commercials, television, and film.

Hale's breakthrough role was Buster Bluth on the sitcom Arrested Development, where his performance as the sheltered youngest Bluth sibling became one of the show's most recognizable comic elements. He later played Gary Walsh, the intensely loyal personal aide to Selina Meyer, on HBO's political satire Veep. His work on Veep earned him Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

In film and television, Hale has appeared in projects including Stranger Than Fiction, The Informant!, The Heat, American Ultra, Love, Simon, Being the Ricardos, Hocus Pocus 2, and Quiz Lady. He has also worked extensively in animation and family entertainment, with voice roles in Toy Story 4, Forky Asks a Question, The Angry Birds Movie, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Archibald's Next Big Thing, and Inside Out 2.
