Juno Temple

Juno Temple is an English actress whose career began in childhood and developed into a varied body of film and television work. Born in London in 1989, she is the daughter of film director Julien Temple and producer Amanda Pirie. That family background placed her near filmmaking from an early age, but her adult career has been defined by a willingness to move between independent dramas, studio genre films, prestige television, and sharply drawn supporting roles.

Temple's early screen appearances included Vigo: Passion for Life and Pandaemonium, the latter directed by her father. As a teenager she drew attention in films such as Notes on a Scandal, Atonement, St Trinian's, Wild Child, The Other Boleyn Girl, and Mr. Nobody. These roles often used her ability to suggest volatility, vulnerability, or mischief in supporting parts. She continued with more prominent work in Dirty Girl, Kaboom, Little Birds, Killer Joe, The Three Musketeers, and The Dark Knight Rises.

In 2013, Temple won the BAFTA Rising Star Award, a public-voted honor that recognized her as one of the British industry's notable emerging performers. She then moved through a broad run of projects, including Maleficent, Black Mass, Unsane, and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
