Eiza González Reyna is a Mexican actress and singer whose career began in Spanish-language television before expanding into Hollywood action, science fiction, and prestige streaming drama. She was born on 30 January 1990 in Mexico City and first became widely known to young audiences through Mexican television, including the telenovela Lola, érase una vez and the Nickelodeon Latin America series Sueña conmigo. She also released pop albums during the early part of her career, making her an entertainer with both screen and music visibility.
González's English-language breakthrough came with From Dusk till Dawn: The Series, where she played Santanico Pandemonium. The role introduced her to a U.S. genre audience and helped transition her from Latin American teen fame into international film work. Her profile rose sharply with Baby Driver, Edgar Wright's 2017 action film, in which she played Darling as part of the central criminal crew. The film's visibility made her a recognizable presence in mainstream American cinema.
She followed that breakthrough with roles in large-scale action and genre films. González played Nyssiana in Alita: Battle Angel, Madame M in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, KT in Bloodshot, Maia Simmons in Godzilla vs. Kong, and Marjorie Stewart in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. These projects placed her alongside major franchise casts and reinforced her association with physically driven, stylish screen roles.
In television, González reached another broad audience with Netflix's 3 Body Problem, playing Auggie Salazar in the science-fiction adaptation from David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo. The part gave her a central dramatic role in an ensemble built around scientists, political upheaval, and existential threat, broadening her screen identity beyond action-film supporting parts.

González's career is notable for its cross-market arc: a Mexican television and music star who successfully moved into English-language genre filmmaking and global streaming drama. She has often been cast in polished, high-impact roles, but her continued work across television, film, and international productions has made her one of the more visible Mexican actors of her generation in Hollywood.
Her move into English-language work also required a careful shift in screen identity. Early Latin American roles presented her as a teen-pop and telenovela figure, while From Dusk till Dawn reframed her around genre intensity, physical confidence, and a more adult image. Baby Driver then used her as part of an ensemble with strong visual style, letting her command attention even in a relatively compact role. That sequence made her a credible choice for action productions seeking an international cast.
González has also become visible in fashion and media coverage, but her acting career has remained centered on large collaborative projects rather than vehicles built solely around her. That has meant frequent supporting or ensemble roles, yet many of those films were widely distributed and globally marketed. As a result, she has built recognition through accumulation: genre television, franchise films, streaming science fiction, and period action. Her career illustrates how a performer can move from regional celebrity to global familiarity without following a single straight path.
