Takahiro Sakurai

Takahiro Sakurai is a Japanese voice actor, narrator, and radio personality whose work spans television anime, theatrical animation, games, drama CDs, and Japanese dubbing of overseas films. Born on June 13, 1974, in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, he trained through specialist voice-acting programs before entering the anime industry in the 1990s. His early career included supporting and recurring roles, but his range and distinctive tenor voice gradually made him one of the most recognizable male performers in Japanese animation.

Sakurai's breakthrough years came through roles in late-1990s and early-2000s anime, including Digimon Adventure, Gate Keepers, Cyborg 009, and other television projects. He became widely associated with characters who combine coolness, emotional reserve, and sudden intensity, though his filmography also includes comic, villainous, and eccentric roles.
