Saori Hayami is a Japanese voice actress and singer whose clear, controlled vocal style has made her one of the most recognizable performers in contemporary anime. Born in Tokyo on May 29, 1991, she became interested in voice acting while still in elementary school and trained through Nihon Narration Engi Kenkyujo before joining the agency I'm Enterprise. Her professional career began in the mid-2000s, and by the late 2000s she was moving quickly from drama CDs and early anime work into lead and supporting roles across television, film, games, and character-song projects.

Hayami's breakthrough came through a run of roles that showed both her gentle tonal range and her ability to play emotionally complicated characters. She became closely associated with Yukino Yukinoshita in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, a role built on restraint, intelligence, and guarded vulnerability. She later reached a broad international audience as Shoko Nishimiya in A Silent Voice, where the performance required subtle emotional expression and careful handling of a deaf character's speech patterns.
