Reina Ueda is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Toyama Prefecture. Born on January 17, 1994, she became known for a wide range of anime, game, and music work and is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. Her career reflects the modern seiyu model in which voice acting, character-song performance, event appearances, and solo music releases often overlap.
Ueda entered the profession after winning recognition in an 81 Produce audition and began working as a voice actress in the early 2010s. Her first major starring role came as Naru Sekiya in Hanayamata, a 2014 television anime about girls forming a yosakoi dance club. The part introduced her to a wider anime audience and was followed by increasing lead and supporting roles across fantasy, school, idol, science-fiction, and game-related projects.
She received a Best New Actress Award at the 9th Seiyu Awards in 2015, one of the main industry honors for Japanese voice performers. Around the same period she built a résumé that included Mira Yurizaki in Dimension W, Hane Sakura in Bakuon!!, Lily Shirogane in Aikatsu Stars!, Shiori Shinomiya in Sakura Quest, and Mallow in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. These roles showed her ability to move between gentle, comic, energetic, and emotionally reserved characters.
Ueda's later work expanded her profile internationally as more anime reached global streaming audiences. She voiced Akane Shinjō in SSSS.Gridman, Miyako Hoshino in Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me, Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Miyo Saimori in My Happy Marriage, Meninas McAllon in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Cha Hae-in in Solo Leveling, Mayu Nekoyashiki/Cure Lillian in Wonderful PreCure!, and Shizuka Kuze in Takopi's Original Sin. Her film and game credits include parts connected with Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, maboroshi, Project Sekai, and Kirby Star Allies.

As a singer, Ueda debuted with the mini-album RefRain in 2016 and later released singles including Sleepland and Literature, the latter used as the opening theme for Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina. Her music career has generally emphasized the polished, introspective side of contemporary anison and J-pop. Because much English-language information about Japanese voice actors can be fragmented, public sources are strongest on her agency affiliation, award record, release history, and confirmed credits rather than private biographical detail. Within those limits, Ueda stands out as one of the prominent voice performers of her generation, with a filmography that spans mainstream franchises, prestige anime adaptations, and character-driven original series.
