Luke Evans

Luke Evans is a Welsh actor and singer whose career has moved from musical theater to international film, television drama, and recording. Born Luke George Evans in Pontypool, Wales, and raised in Aberbargoed, he trained at the London Studio Centre after leaving home as a teenager. Before becoming widely known on screen, Evans built a stage career in London's West End, appearing in productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, Taboo, and Piaf. That theatrical background shaped the qualities that later defined his screen work: vocal confidence, strong physical presence, and an ability to play both romantic leads and heightened genre characters without embarrassment.

Evans's film breakthrough came in 2010 with Clash of the Titans, after which he quickly became a regular presence in action, fantasy, and thriller projects. On television he starred as John Schuyler Moore in The Alienist and appeared in Nine Perfect Strangers.
