Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is an American actor, musician, producer, and occasional director whose screen image has been built around eccentric outsiders, stylized transformations, and collaborations with visually distinctive filmmakers. Born John Christopher Depp II on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, he grew up in Florida and first pursued music, playing guitar in bands before moving to Los Angeles. Acting began almost accidentally through industry contacts, but his film debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street and later work in Platoon placed him on a path that soon overtook his music ambitions.

Depp became nationally famous as Officer Tom Hanson on the television series 21 Jump Street. He played Sparrow across multiple sequels and became one of the most recognizable film stars in the world.
