Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet is an American and French actor whose career has moved quickly from New York stage and television work to international stardom. Born Timothée Hal Chalamet on December 27, 1995, in New York City, he grew up in a bilingual and artistic family environment and trained at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, a school strongly associated with young performers. His early professional work included short films, television appearances and a recurring role in Homeland before his film career began in earnest in the mid-2010s.

Chalamet's first major film exposure came in 2014, when he appeared in Men, Women & Children and in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. His breakthrough arrived with Luca Guadagnino's Call Me by Your Name, where his performance as Elio Perlman turned a quiet coming-of-age romance into a major awards-season event.
