Ewan McGregor

McGregor continued to diversify in the 2010s. He starred in Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer, appeared in Beginners, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, The Impossible and August: Osage County, and made his feature directorial debut with American Pastoral, in which he also starred. On television, he won the Golden Globe Award for his dual performance as brothers Ray and Emmit Stussy in the third season of Fargo. He later portrayed fashion designer Halston in the Netflix miniseries Halston, a performance that won him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

His screen persona also includes family and genre roles such as Lumière in Beauty and the Beast, the title character in Christopher Robin, Dan Torrance in Doctor Sleep and Black Mask in Birds of Prey. Beyond acting, McGregor is known for the Long Way motorcycle documentary series with Charley Boorman, including Long Way Round, Long Way Down and Long Way Up. UNICEF UK records that he has supported the organization since 2004, connecting his travel documentaries and public profile to humanitarian advocacy. In 2013, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to drama and charity.
