Earl Boen was an American actor whose career spanned film, television, animation, and video games. Born in New York City on August 8, 1941, he worked steadily from the 1970s into the 2010s and became especially recognizable to film audiences as criminal psychiatrist Dr. Peter Silberman in The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. That recurring role made him a familiar part of one of science fiction cinema's best-known franchises.
Boen also built a substantial television résumé, appearing in comedies, dramas, and procedural series, including Mama's Family, Seinfeld, The Golden Girls, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and many other programs. His voice credits included Señor Senior Sr. in Kim Possible, LeChuck in the Monkey Island games, and King Terenas Menethil II in World of Warcraft, as well as work on animated series such as Clifford the Big Red Dog and Bonkers. Boen died in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 5, 2023, at age 81.
