Scott Adkins

Scott Adkins is an English actor, martial artist, screenwriter, and producer best known for contemporary martial-arts action cinema. Born Scott Edward Adkins on June 17, 1976, in Sutton Coldfield, England, he began training in martial arts as a teenager and earned a taekwondo black belt while also studying other fighting styles. His screen career developed from a practical combination of acting, athletic training, stunt-friendly movement, and interest in Hong Kong action cinema.

Adkins' early credits included British television and Hong Kong-linked action projects, where he worked around performers and choreographers connected to martial-arts filmmaking. He appeared in films such as The Accidental Spy, Black Mask 2: City of Masks, The Medallion, Special Forces, Unleashed, and The Pink Panther before the role that made him a cult action figure: Yuri Boyka in Undisputed II: Last Man Standing. Boyka, a Russian prison fighter, became his signature character, and Adkins reprised the role in Undisputed III: Redemption and Boyka: Undisputed.

Beyond Undisputed, Adkins has led and co-led many action films, including Ninja, Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, Close Range, Savage Dog, Accident Man, Triple Threat, Avengement, Legacy of Lies, Debt Collectors, Castle Falls, Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday, One More Shot, and Take Cover.
