Daisuke Namikawa is a Japanese actor, voice actor and singer whose career began unusually early and grew into one of the broadest bodies of work in contemporary Japanese voice performance. Born in Tokyo on April 2, 1976, he entered entertainment as a child performer in the 1980s and later became associated with the agency Stay Luck. His screen and animation work spans television anime, theatrical animation, video games, live-action projects and Japanese-language dubbing of international films, making him recognizable to audiences across several overlapping fan communities.
Namikawa's voice work is marked by range rather than a single narrow type. He has played youthful leads, cool rivals, eccentric supporting figures and formidable antagonists, with recurring visibility in long-running franchises. Anime audiences know him from roles connected with series such as Lupin the Third, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Persona 4, Haikyu!!, Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Ghoul, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and many others. His credits also include game and multimedia franchises, where Japanese voice actors often carry characters across animation, game releases, audio dramas and promotional events.
Beyond anime, Namikawa has been active in dubbing foreign film and television into Japanese. This part of his work has included voicing roles associated with international actors such as Elijah Wood, Hayden Christensen and Leonardo DiCaprio in Japanese releases. Dubbing has been important to his public profile because it shows another side of his craft: matching an existing screen performance while localizing emotional rhythm and vocal texture for Japanese audiences.

Namikawa also developed a music career, releasing work through Kiramune and performing as a singer. In 2010 he directed and appeared in the live-action film Wonderful World, a project notable for bringing together a number of prominent voice actors. That move into directing and live-action performance reflected the breadth of his ambitions beyond recording-booth work, even as voice acting remained the foundation of his career.
As an actor, Namikawa's longevity is one of his defining traits. Beginning as a child performer gave him decades of experience by the time many peers were just becoming established. His filmography includes mainstream shonen franchises, late-night anime, family-oriented series, game adaptations and theatrical projects. He remains a frequent presence in new productions while continuing to be associated with signature roles from earlier stages of his career.
For a film and television database, Namikawa is best understood as a high-volume performer whose influence comes from cumulative familiarity: viewers may encounter him in heroic, comic, villainous or supporting roles across many different franchises. His career illustrates the Japanese voice-acting model in which performance, music, events, dubbing and character media can form a single public identity.
