Shin-ichiro Miki

Shin-ichiro Miki is a Japanese voice actor and singer known for a long career in anime, games, dubbing and character music. Born in Tokyo on 18 March 1968, he has been active since the late 1980s and is associated with the talent agency 81 Produce. His voice is often described by fans and casting patterns as smooth, cool and composed, a quality that has made him a frequent choice for handsome rivals, mentors, antiheroes and charismatic supporting characters.

Miki became widely known through several 1990s anime roles. He voiced Youji Kudou in Weiß Kreuz and also performed as part of the related voice-actor unit Weiß alongside Takehito Koyasu, Tomokazu Seki and Hiro Yūki. In Initial D he voiced Takumi Fujiwara, the quiet street-racing protagonist whose calm delivery became central to the series' tone. In Pokémon, Miki voiced Kojirō, known in English-language versions as James of Team Rocket, as well as a number of Pokémon roles across the franchise.

His credits span many major anime series. He voiced Akira Yuki in Virtua Fighter, Allen Schezar in The Vision of Escaflowne, Kurz Weber in Full Metal Panic!, Kisuke Urahara in Bleach, Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Lockon Stratos in Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Tatsuma Sakamoto in Gintama, Deishū Kaiki in the Monogatari series, Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super, Assassin in Fate/stay night and Aikurō Mikisugi in Kill la Kill. The range of these roles reflects both his leading-man sound and his ability to shift into eccentric comedy, menace or authority.
