Kevin Hart

Kevin Darnell Hart is an American comedian, actor, producer, and media entrepreneur whose career grew from Philadelphia stand-up clubs into arena comedy tours, studio film franchises, streaming projects, and production-company leadership. Born in Philadelphia on 6 July 1979, Hart has often used his family background, height, anxieties, relationships, and everyday humiliations as raw material for a comic persona built on speed, self-deprecation, and high emotional volume.

Hart began performing stand-up under the name Lil Kev and struggled early before refining a more personal style. His breakthrough on television came with a recurring role in Judd Apatow's Undeclared, and he gradually built visibility through film parts in Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, Soul Plane, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and other comedies. His rise as a stand-up star accelerated with specials and albums including I'm a Grown Little Man, Seriously Funny, Laugh at My Pain, Let Me Explain, and What Now?. These tours helped establish him as one of the most commercially successful live comedians of his generation.

As a film actor, Hart became known for fast-talking comic energy and for partnerships with larger or more restrained co-stars. He had major roles in Think Like a Man, Ride Along and its sequel, About Last Night, Get Hard, Central Intelligence, The Secret Life of Pets, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Night School, and the Jumanji sequels. His pairing with Dwayne Johnson in Central Intelligence and Jumanji became especially successful, built around contrasts in size, confidence, and panic.
