Jeff Bennett

Jeff Glen Bennett is an American voice actor whose career has been closely associated with animated television, direct-to-video animation, and family entertainment. Born in Houston, Texas, Bennett trained as a stage actor at Houston's Alley Theatre before moving to California. He began working professionally in voice-over in the mid-1980s and became known for a flexible vocal range that allowed him to play leading comic characters, supporting ensemble roles, and recurring franchise parts.

Bennett's early animation credits included work on series such as James Bond Jr., Gargoyles, Bonkers, Dexter's Laboratory, and The Powerpuff Girls. His best-known starring role came with Johnny Bravo, in which he voiced the title character after first performing him for Cartoon Network's What a Cartoon! showcase. The character's exaggerated confidence and Elvis-inspired vocal style helped make the series one of Cartoon Network's distinctive late-1990s comedies. Bennett also voiced Brooklyn in Gargoyles, Dexter and Dee Dee's father in Dexter's Laboratory, Ace and other characters in The Powerpuff Girls, and several roles across Disney and Warner Bros. animation.

From the 2000s onward, Bennett remained a frequent presence in children's and family animation. He voiced the Man with the Yellow Hat and other characters in Curious George, Kowalski in The Penguins of Madagascar, Clank in the Tinker Bell films, and recurring or guest roles in series including Xiaolin Showdown, Camp Lazlo, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Transformers: Rescue Bots. He has also contributed voices to animated films and specials connected with franchises such as The Land Before Time, Peter Pan, Scooby-Doo, Disney Princess, and Chip 'n Dale.
