Sergio Corbucci

Sergio Corbucci was an Italian film director and screenwriter, born in Rome on December 6, 1926, and active across popular Italian cinema from the 1950s through the 1980s. He is best known internationally for westerns, especially Django, which he directed, co-wrote, and produced in 1966. His filmography also includes direction and writing credits on The Great Silence, Navajo Joe, The Specialists, Super Fuzz, Odds and Evens, and Who Finds a Friend Finds a Treasure. Corbucci frequently worked across directing and writing departments, with additional producer credits on selected films. TMDb also lists him under alternate professional names including Stanley Corbett, Enzo Corbucci, and Gordon Wilson Jr. Archival appearances and documentary credits, including Django & Django: Sergio Corbucci Unchained and Filming Silenzio, reflect his continuing association with the legacy of Italian genre cinema.
