Masaki Suda

Suda has also maintained a music career. After portraying Hide of the band Greeeen in Kiseki: Sobito of That Day, he participated in the related Green Boys project and later released solo music through Epic Records Japan, including the albums Play and Love. His acting and music careers have often overlapped through theme songs, film roles and public appearances, and his music has strengthened his status as a multi-field entertainer rather than only a screen actor.

In television, Suda has appeared in dramas such as Kamen Rider W, Gochisōsan, Pretty Proofreader, 3 Nen A Gumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Haken no Hinkaku, Konto ga Hajimaru and Don't Call It Mystery. The latter, adapted from Yumi Tamura's manga, became one of his notable 2020s roles and was followed by a film version. His television work has often emphasized verbal rhythm and distinctive character presence, while his film work has included both mainstream adaptations and more grounded dramatic leads.

In the 2020s, Suda remained active across film, television and animation. He voiced the Gray Heron in Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron and starred in projects such as Don't Call It Mystery: The Movie, Cloud and Sunset Sunrise. His public profile also includes his marriage to actress Nana Komatsu, with whom he co-starred in Drowning Love and Threads: Our Tapestry of Love.
