Akari Kito

Akari Kitō is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Born on October 16, 1994, she became known first through anime voice work and later developed a parallel music career. Public profiles list her as affiliated with Raccoon Dog, with earlier career information connecting her to the Japanese voice-acting industry from the mid-2010s onward. She has said in interviews and profile material that anime, manga, games, and music were important interests before she became a professional performer, and she entered the industry at a time when voice actors were increasingly expected to work across animation, games, concerts, character songs, and solo recordings.

Kitō's early roles included parts in Gugure! Kokkuri-san, Invaders of the Rokujouma!?, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, Erased, Taboo Tattoo, and Time Bokan 24. Time Bokan 24 gave her an early main role as Calen, while Blend S and Classroom of the Elite brought wider recognition through Kaho Hinata and Suzune Horikita. She then became a frequent lead or prominent supporting performer in fantasy, school, comedy, idol, and romance anime. Her credits include Record of Grancrest War as Siluca Meletes, The Demon Girl Next Door as Momo Chiyoda, Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu as Aru Honshō, and Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me as Noa Himesaka.

Her best-known international role is Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Although the character often speaks little, the role required expressive vocal reactions, physical effort, and emotional timing; the success of the series made Kitō recognizable to a much larger global anime audience. She continued with the franchise across later television arcs and films while taking on additional major roles, including Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Kotoko Iwanaga in In/Spectre, Tsukasa Yuzaki in TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You, Kanata Konoe in Love Live!
