Junichi Suwabe

Junichi Suwabe is a Japanese voice actor whose deep, controlled vocal style has made him a familiar presence in anime, games, drama CDs, music projects, and Japanese-language dubbing. Born in Tokyo on March 29, 1972, he began professional voice work in the mid-1990s and is affiliated with Haikyo, the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. His career has been defined less by a single screen image than by a wide range of characters: elegant rivals, comic eccentrics, antiheroes, mentors, villains, sports prodigies, supernatural figures, and prestige-game protagonists.

Suwabe became especially visible to international anime audiences through roles that travelled well outside Japan. He voiced Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis, a performance tied not only to the anime series but also to character songs and event culture around the franchise. He later became widely known for characters such as Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach, Archer in Fate/stay night, Undertaker in Black Butler, Daiki Aomine in Kuroko's Basketball, Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia, Leone Abbacchio in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover, Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Victor Nikiforov in Yuri!!! on Ice. Across those parts, his work moves between polished authority, dry humor, menace, flamboyance, and emotional restraint, which is one reason he is frequently cast in characters with strong identities and fan followings.

His credits also extend deeply into video games and franchise media. Suwabe has been associated with Fate, Uta no Prince-sama, The Prince of Tennis, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and many other multimedia properties in which voice actors perform across television episodes, films, games, radio programs, live events, and music releases. In Uta no Prince-sama, his participation in the ST☆RISH-related music project was part of the ensemble recognized at the Seiyu Awards.
