Dav Pilkey

Dav Pilkey is an American children's author, illustrator and cartoonist, born in Cleveland, Ohio, and best known for creating Captain Underpants and Dog Man. His official biography notes that he began making comics as a child and went on to write and illustrate bestselling, award-winning books, including the Caldecott Honor book The Paperboy. His publishing work has also reached screen media: TMDb credits him as the novel source for Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Captain Underpants Mega Blissmas, Captain Underpants Epic Choice-o-Rama and The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-a-ween, and as the book source for Dog Man.
