Ayane Sakura is a Japanese voice actress known for a large body of anime, game, radio and narration work. Born on January 29, 1994, in Tokyo, she entered professional voice acting as a teenager and became one of the most frequently cast performers of her generation. Her public profiles list the nickname Ayaneru, early affiliation with I'm Enterprise, and later affiliation with Aoni Production, one of Japan's major talent agencies for voice performers.
Sakura began appearing in anime around 2010 and quickly moved into leading and prominent supporting roles. Early credits included Dream Eater Merry, Joshiraku and Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future. Those parts showed the range that would become central to her career: high-energy comedy, emotionally direct heroines, and distinctive supporting characters with memorable speech patterns. As anime production expanded across late-night television, streaming and multimedia franchises, Sakura became a regular presence in both original projects and adaptations of popular manga, games and light novels.
Her best-known roles include Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia, Tsubaki Sawabe in Your Lie in April, Natsumi Koshigaya in Non Non Biyori, Cocoa Hoto in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Iroha Isshiki in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, Nao Tomori in Charlotte, Yotsuba Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets, Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Fiona Frost in Spy x Family, and multiple characters in game-linked projects such as Kantai Collection, Azur Lane, Granblue Fantasy, Genshin Impact and Fate/Grand Order. Aoni Production's official profile also lists narration work for Japanese television programs, radio personality credits, and game roles, reflecting how voice actors in Japan often work across several media at once.

Sakura's performances often combine brightness with quick shifts in tone. In My Hero Academia, Ochaco Uraraka requires warmth, determination and comic awkwardness; in Attack on Titan, Gabi Braun is a more volatile and morally fraught character; in The Quintessential Quintuplets, Yotsuba Nakano depends on optimism that gradually reveals emotional complexity. This variety has helped Sakura avoid being associated with only one character type, even though many of her roles are in youthful school, fantasy or action settings.
In 2018, Sakura won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 12th Seiyu Awards, a major Japanese industry recognition for voice performers. The award marked her shift from rising talent to established star. Her later move to Aoni Production in 2022 placed her within an agency roster historically associated with high-profile anime, game and narration careers. She has continued to appear in new franchises while reprising roles in sequels, films and game adaptations.
By the mid-2020s, Ayane Sakura's career represented the modern multimedia seiyu model: an actor whose voice work supports television anime, theatrical films, mobile games, character songs, radio programs and promotional events. Her filmography is broad enough that different audiences may know her from completely different corners of pop culture, but the constant is a flexible, expressive performance style suited to both ensemble comedy and emotionally heightened drama.
