Mutsumi Tamura

Mutsumi Tamura is a Japanese voice actor from Aomori Prefecture whose career has been built around youthful, energetic, and often emotionally direct performances in anime, games, and animated features. Born on June 19, 1987, she entered professional voice work in the late 2000s and became associated with I'm Enterprise, one of Japan's major voice-actor management agencies. Her early credits included small roles in television anime before she moved quickly into leading and recurring parts, establishing a profile that has been especially strong in boys' roles, fantasy-adventure series, and character-driven ensemble shows.

Tamura's first widely noted lead role came with Battle Spirits: Shounen Toppa Bashin, where she voiced the title character Toppa Bashin. That role helped define a recurring area of her work: young heroes whose performances require clarity, momentum, and a believable sense of discovery. She went on to appear across a broad range of series, including Kill Me Baby as Sonya, Jormungand as Jonah, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day as young Jintan, Naruto: Shippuden as young Kakashi Hatake, and Tiger & Bunny as young Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. Those roles showed her ease with parts that are not simply “child” voices but characters who must carry comedy, trauma, action, or formative backstory.

In the 2010s and 2020s she became familiar to international anime viewers through roles in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, where she voices Kobayashi, and through the Digimon franchise, where she voiced Koshiro “Izzy” Izumi in the Digimon Adventure tri. film series and later related projects.
