Anja Flade, also credited as Anja Flade-Kruse, is a German screenwriter whose work is primarily associated with German film and television. She has written for television series and TV films including Praxis mit Meerblick, Zwei Frauen für alle Felle, Miss Merkel, Herzstolpern, Lena Lorenz, Sankt Maik, Großstadtrevier, Alles neu für Lina, Lindenstraße and Löwenzähnchen. Her feature film credits include the screenplay for the 2019 family comedy Alfons Zitterbacke: Das Chaos ist zurück, which she co-wrote with John Chambers and Mark Schlichter.
Flade-Kruse describes herself as having grown up in the Saale valley in Thuringia and having made her first documentary film at the age of 14. After school she worked in several jobs and internships, including in Great Britain and in television and radio, before studying journalism and German studies in Leipzig and screenwriting/dramaturgy in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She worked as a freelance screenwriter in Berlin from 2006 to 2021 and later returned to Thuringia. Her public filmography lists continuing work for German broadcasters, including ARD, ZDF and RTL productions.
