Really sharp work from Dan Gosse
9/10 · Ethan Wang ·
Dan Gosse was the thing I kept watching in Slipworm or: The Ectophagic Liminal Leech Breach (2026). There is a nice lived-in quality to it, nothing too forced. A couple of tiny timing choices really stuck with me. It is the kind of performance that quietly makes the movie sturdier. Not the whole movie, obviously, but it helps a lot.

Looking just at Valda Gosse's work as Props, there is a clear point of view in the performance. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
