Born in Norway but abandoned as a child to the unforgiving streets of Mumbai, Lasse Lund’s life is a story that defies belief. In this documentary, Lasse returns to the slums of India to confront the places and people that shaped his survival. Growing up with no schooling, Lasse Lund survived not by turning to the crime around him, but by hustling and relying on the kindness of the community who took him in. Now out of the shadows, he’s exposing the international systems and parents who allowed a vulnerable foreign child to vanish onto the streets, and hopes to claim the injustment and compensation he was denied for decades. It’s a journey into a world few see, an unexpected story about life, trauma, and the grit it takes to survive after being abandoned by the very systems and people that were supposed to protect you. This is a real story. Lasse has lived it.
