Daniel J. Edin does not quite click

Daniel J. Edin gets a 1/10 from me for The Mare (2020). It feels like the role needed another layer that never quite showed up. A few choices felt pushed, and that pulled me out of the scene. It never really locked in for me. I kept waiting for a more specific angle on the character. The performance does the job, but not much more than that. That is the part I kept thinking about after the movie ended.
