Richard Boddington works in parts

My score for Richard Boddington as Editor in Return to Wickensburg (2024) is 6/10. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. That is why the score sits where it does for me.
