Dayleigh Nelson never quite convinces
3.5/10 · Acting
For The Boy with My Son's Face (2026), Dayleigh Nelson's contribution as Parole Officer Tomi Leigh Peterson feels like a 3.5/10 to me. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
