A useful but uneven turn from JC Parker
7/10 · Acting
My score for JC Parker as Edith in Deception (2022) is 7/10. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. That is why the score sits where it does for me.
