Julia Morizawa has good moments, though not fully even

Julia Morizawa's contribution as Annie gives Lazy Susan (2019) a more specific texture. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
