Benji Bakshi works in parts

Looking just at Benji Bakshi's work as Director of Photography, there is a clear point of view in the performance. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
