Gustavo Santaolalla feels too thin here

Looking just at Gustavo Santaolalla's work as Music, there is a clear point of view in the performance. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
