Lawrence Everson feels too thin here

I kept coming back to Lawrence Everson's choices here, especially in the smaller beats. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
