Good instincts from Karthik Subbaraj, mixed result

I came away thinking about Karthik Subbaraj's work as Producer more than I expected. The quieter stuff works better than the bigger beats. It is solid enough, but there are moments where it feels a bit on autopilot. Some scenes click, some just sit there. I would not call it bad, just not as sharp as it could have been. That is the part I kept thinking about after the movie ended.
