Morgan Freeman has nice moments but also some problems

I watched RED (2010) and Morgan Freeman was one of the parts I kept noticing. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. I wanted more detail, but it still has some useful emotion. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. There are good moments, especially when the scene is quiet. This is only my personal view, but the performance changed how I enjoyed the film.
