Mary Blee gives the film real shape
10/10 · Editing
I kept coming back to Mary Blee's choices here, especially in the smaller beats. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
