Phoebe Frances Brown does not quite click

Phoebe Frances Brown gives this role a little extra shape without making a big show of it. A few choices felt pushed, and that pulled me out of the scene. The performance does the job, but not much more than that. It feels like the role needed another layer that never quite showed up. It never really locked in for me. I can see someone else being kinder to it, but I did not fully get there.
