Koji Kurata never quite convinces

Looking just at Koji Kurata's work as Director of Photography, there is a clear point of view in the performance. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
