Hein de Vos is solid, with a few rough edges

I came away thinking about Hein de Vos's work as Director of Photography more than I expected. It never really locked in for me. A few choices felt pushed, and that pulled me out of the scene. It feels like the role needed another layer that never quite showed up. The performance does the job, but not much more than that. I kept waiting for a more specific angle on the character. That is the part I kept thinking about after the movie ended.
