Philippe Rousselot gives the film real shape
9.5/10 · Camera
I kept coming back to Philippe Rousselot's choices here, especially in the smaller beats. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
