Deng Wei has good moments, though not fully even
4/10 · Acting
What stood out to me about Lost You Forever (2023) was how Deng Wei handled the role. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
