Christian Gugu never quite convinces

Christian Gugu's contribution as Director of Photography gives The Jester from Transylvania (2024) a more specific texture. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
