Paulo Pandolpho works in parts
6/10 · Editing
What stood out to me about Out of Darkness (2024) was how Paulo Pandolpho handled the role. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
