A useful but uneven turn from Raul A. Bruce
7/10 · Sound
Raul A. Bruce's contribution as Boom Operator gives Showgirls (1995) a more specific texture. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
