A useful but uneven turn from Tomoki Kyoda
6/10 · Art
What stood out to me about Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution 1 (2017) was how Tomoki Kyoda handled the role. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
