A useful but uneven turn from Singampuli
7.5/10 · Acting
Looking just at Singampuli's work as Suruttu, there is a clear point of view in the performance. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
