Izuka Hoyle never quite convinces
2/10 · Acting
What stood out to me about Prisoner (2026) was how Izuka Hoyle handled the role. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
