A useful but uneven turn from Andrew Gaynord
7/10 · Directing
What stood out to me about A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou (2023) was how Andrew Gaynord handled the role. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
